Canadian Women are Olympic Champion by taking gold in Hockey Final against American women’s teams .
The U.S. women's hockey team was hoping the pressure of playing at home would weigh too heavily on its Canadian opponents in Thursday's gold-medal game.
The 2-0 victory gave Canada its third straight Olympic gold medal. It also came after two consecutive losses to the Americans in major tournament finals, at the I.I.H.F. world championships in 2008 and 2009.
Melody Davidson the Canada’s coach,had chosen the young phenom Shannon Szabados instead of the veteran Olympian Kim St. Pierre and that's was right because Szabados was excellent having stopped 28 American shots.
